Group Exercise


BaySport makes every effort to remain a leader in the Fitness Industry with its focus on instructor professionalism, member guidance, quality assurance, and training of instructors. Currently we offer approximately 100 quality group exercise classes per week at our various corporate fitness locations nationwide. BaySport employs more than 75 professional instructors to teach these classes; typical classes take place early morning, lunchtime and after work. 

BaySport strives to encourage new and regular participants to come to our group exercise classes, which are open to all fitness levels. All BaySport instructors are trained to assess the fitness level of participants in each class and choose exercises in a responsible manner. Exercise effectiveness is different for every participant and every class; thereby, servicing ALL class members is our highest priority.

Fitness Class Descriptions


Ball Xtra
Enjoy this workout that strengthens and sculpts your entire body using the stability ball, your body weight, and several other resistance tools. This head to toe training will increase strength, flexibility, balance and overall body awareness.

Body Works
Upper body vs. lower body, cardiovascular training vs. resistance training, it's all here in this power-packed workout. Take strong, powerful cardio movements and add specific isolated resistance movements to achieve a spectacular total body workout that will challenge the athlete in you.

Boot Camp
Are you ready for a serious workout? Get ready for Boot Camp, a no fluff, no frills conditioning class that is cardio tough and muscle strong. Improve your strength, power, agility and balance. If you're trying to improve performance in your favorite sport, break through your workout rut, or just improve your overall fitness - it's time to join Boot Camp.

Boxing
Train like a boxer and get in great shape at the same time! Come learn proper boxing technique, including work on a heavy bag and speed bag. Learn the fundamentals it takes to increase your strength, endurance, and agility through boxing techniques. There will be no sparring in this class.

Cardio Kickboxing
If your goal is to lose weight, get fit, be strong, or just have fun, then this full body workout is for you. Get in shape using this intense fat burning and strength conditioning class that incorporates movements derived from boxing and Tae Kwon Do. Focus is on punches, kicks, and combinations that provide an energetic and heart pumping workout!

Gliding Beyond the Basics
Gliding disc exercises transform traditional exercises by allowing for engaged full body effort from start to finish. The Gliding discs alone are amazing. Come let us take you to the next level by adding common fitness toys into the mix. Train every muscle in every way. Learn new combinations to excite your mind and movement. This class offers a complete kick in the pants workout from start to finish.

Kickbox Jam
Come and train with Coach Jivoni Jordan, former U.S. Open Heavyweight Kickboxing Champion. In this class you will learn some of the same basic conditioning drills and techniques that the champs do. The class will include the use of gloves, mitts, and various kicking/punching bags. This is REAL KICKBOX TRAINING so come ready to BRING IT! Bringing your own boxing gloves is highly recommended.

Pilates Mat
Pilates mat training is a series of exercises emphasizing core conditioning, body awareness, and improved posture. Based on the principles of Joseph Pilates, the exercises engage both the mind and body in developing strong, flexible muscles without building bulk. Regular practice of pilates mat exercises will improve muscular strength and endurance, balance, flexibility and posture. Pilates is an ideal complement to all types of cardiovascular exercise and weight training programs.

Social Dance
Enjoy learning the basics of social dance. You'll be able to impress your friends with your fancy footwork. Our instructor will highlight a different style of dance with each series. Please wear comfortable close-toed shoes and clothes that won't be too hot for this fun workout! No partner or experience is necessary.

Step
This class provides a great workout under low impact conditions using basic to intermediate step moves and combinations. Power step options are given for those who want to increase their workout intensity. It's a great way to train your cardiovascular system!

Tai Chi
Tai Chi is a low-impact conditioning class that is beneficial for all ages and fitness levels. Tai Chi is a soft, internal energy martial art. Tai Chi stretches the muscles so they put less tension on the body. It also improves circulation, respiratory, and cardiovascular function, while reducing stress and improving the overall nervous system. The participant will begin by learning the basics of Tai Chi and the form. The class will focus on the intent of the movement rather than its form, thereby promoting relaxation and effortlessness.

Total Body Conditioning
Variety is the spice of life and this class is all about variety! Building muscle helps you to obtain that lean appearance that many strive for. Weights, exercise tubes, balls, and jump ropes are used to strengthen and tone your body from head to toe. Athletic drills are added for speed, power, and agility. Emphasis is placed on proper form and technique. Come join us for this powerful hour and feel your muscles work like never before!

Yoga
Come join us for the benefits of this invigorating yoga workout. Follow the flowing movements of this complete and energizing workout to gain greater flexibility, strength, and balance. Sculpt your body from the inside out and experience progressions that seamlessly flow from one to the next. As you learn to move correctly, you'll experience the benefits of reduced stress and enhanced awareness in your daily life!

Zumba
Dance your way to a fitter you! Come have fun with the exciting and unique Latin moves and rythyms.
